Diplomat Select 610

Hi there folks…

My Diplomat Select 610 electric slot in cooker door has fallen off!! 😕
The problem seems to be that the metal ring thingys attached to the spring mechanism has “stretched” over the last few years and the ring bit that attaches to it has split. Was just about to go buy a new oven when i stumbled across this forum so i thought maybe….just maybe someone would know if i can buy replacement parts or if there is no hope and i have to buy new.

If i have to buy, then could anyone suggest a model around the 200-250 pound mark that is a good buy. (brushed aluminium)

Sourface, if you can post the model number from the rating plate please (should be around the door(s)) beginning APL or AHY or similar, I’ll check it out for you.

I had to unscrew the thing and pull it out from the unit….but found it 😀

it is AHY3300

Ah, it’s one of those type.

Is it the metal parts that go in to the oven that have broken ?

Well not exactly…

Its the part that is attached to it…there are 2 metal holes that a small rod goes through…attached to the spring which holds the door ajar etc…the holes have stretched out and snapped so wont stay the on the small rod
