    Hi,

I have read the post above about actual model number but am not at this time able to obtain it. I think my question can be answered without it.
The oven is a Diplomat Select 920 Double Oven. I think it will be an AHY44xx.
The top oven has a double element which is screwed to the back and also has a transverse support wire which pops into a hole in each side of the oven. This is not the problem.

The problem pertains to the bottom oven which has a single element. After a cleaning company came today this element is drooping down into the body of the oven. There are holes in either side of the oven but no transverse support wire. I do not know if there was any other support than the screw at the back. Looking at images of spare parts I do not see any support mechanism like that fitted in the top oven.
The back screw does not tighten, just goes round and round.
Am I right in thinking that this is the only support for this element and I need to address only this by fitting new or larger screw. I think the oven will have to come out to achieve this. It will be done safely…don’t worry.

    It’s an AHY4401.

Would still like to know if the upper single element in the bottom main oven is supported by anything other then the fixing bolt at the back.

There normally a wire support towards the front of the element that just sits on a ridge

    Hi,

Thanks. That would make sense but I have seached high and low and cannot find anyone listing a support wire or similar. The upper grill element does have one actually as part of the element.
Would appreciate if anyone can shed light on obtaining a support wire. Any exploded views out there ?

    Thanks
