    Hi,

    I have a diplomat select 920 double oven AHY 4420 – Serial 00266481. The top oven acts as a grill and an oven. It still works as an oven but not as a grill.

    I have replaced the grill element and the fault remains.

    This fault has appeared several times before on forums, but never with resolution (well, that I can find). It appears to be a common fault with this model – I’m now guessing its the regulator, but without a wiring diagram, hard to be sure!

    Any pointers, anyone? Would be appreciated and thanks in advance, Martin.

    Check the switch for the oven.

    It will still act as an oven using the lower element only, it just won’t give an even heat or be as efficient.

    I fitted a new selector switch,second from left when you are facing the oven. The grill then worked for about three weeks and has now done it again, works as oven but not grill. Not had a chance to take it out and investigate yet.
