Diplomat select 920 double oven AHY 44 problems

We have a diplomat select 920 double oven AHY 44.. The top oven acts as a grill and an oven. It still works as an oven but when used as a grill the element seems to not heat up.
Has the element gone? Or could it be something else as it still heats up
an an oven round the
edge of the element.

Please let us know if you can help with this problem.

Hi Dave,

Can you give us the full model number, the last two digits are very important. But yes, it sounds like the element in goosed but you will need the model number to get one.

Grill element here for it

It’s pretty much the only thing that will go. Rarely the switch or regulator will fail, but it’s rare.

Have received the new element and fitted it but the grill will not work still but the oven does. Any ideas what I can try now?

Grill element is live switched by the regulator through the function selector switch. Either could be faulty.

Stay safe, power off if investigating.

OK THANKS FOR THE ADVICE
I CAN CHANGE AN ELEMENT BUT WILL
PROBABLY HAVE TO CALL AN ENGINEER OUT
