    Hi

I have this oven and the starter for the main oven has stopped working. The oven otherwise works fine if a use a separate starter. Any recommend how I can get this fixed/ obtain a new starter?

    The model number is 0590420062

    Thanks!
    John

Can you post the MFI model number please from the rating plate as per this post:

Also, what do you refer to as a starter ?

An engineer can be located from the repairs@ link below 🙂

Sorry the MFI model number is APL5320.

I have done a search for an engineer and unfortunately no local engineer is listed – surprising for SW London.

The problem is that when using the oven, I cannot light the gas using the button on the front. I get a clicking sound – but it doesn’t produce a spark. Presumably a flint or electric element used to light the gas has failed. Any ideas how to get fixed?
    Cheers

That’s due to it being a gas appliance, many engineers won’t register to repair them purely down to the costs of training and Corgi registration etc and the relatively low level of gas cookers that need repairing.

That aside, let me know yoour postcode and I will check a list I have here.

The fault sounds straightforwrd enough, probably the electrode or the lead.

Capital repairs on 020 8866 6699 will be able to help 🙂

You can also contact them through repairs@ now as I see where the slight error occured. We added gas oven as a new appliance type recently and for some reason their info didn’t get updated to include this 😕

    Now rectified 🙂

    Dave.
