Diplomat/Servis APM8703/02 W/D Keeps Filling – Tried…

Hi,

Got this machine with an overfill problem.

Tried module from EMW but same fault remains.
Did usual tightening contacts etc.

There is slight heat mark on a pressure switch contacts insulation sleeve – I presume the pressure switch only involves the heater, it sounds positive.

Is it just a timed fill on these so could be a faulty timer?

It sometimes fills ok at the first fill and will heat but when it reaches rinse it overfills and when it gets nearly to top of window glass, pump comes in but just makes a ‘struggling’ clunking noise. Click timer on and it pumps the water out ok.

Any insights would be welcome.

i would think its got to be the pressure switch or a blockage in the pressure switch tube or a hole in the pressure switch tube.

I’ll give it another check – did inspect tube carefully though.

But have been back and as it is overfilling I have tapped the timer and it stops filling for a second then continues. It does this each time I give the timer a tap. So it appears that the problem responds to the timer being tapped – leads me to think it is the timer.

its an expensive item the timer about £70 plus vat connect are out of stock.
SER516009801 in stock at qualtex £22 plus vat.

you better check its the right one.
