apm8552/2 i got called to this mod customer reported no drain/spin, i removed blockage from drain hose and found pcb tracks burnt out, so i fitted pcb from emw (dmpdc) but still no spin, then found both carbons stuck in their housings so i freed them. now it washes ok but when it gets to the spin it gets just past the bit where it pauses , starts to pick up speed then just shuts off pump and motor action but the timer keeps clicking away??????? im now thinking motor at fault?????? but this is gonna be costly motor & pcb..(ive tightend pcb connections)

    any advice welcome

Have you waited after the pause? these machines mess about for ages before they spin. Would suspect a timer or module fault rather than motor.

yes it got past the pause then it stops as it starts to pick up speed , seems strange how the pump and motor both stop, guess i will get a cost on timer first,

All the timer does is operate the door lock; the selected switch combination programmes the computer. The fault is not “logical”, therefore the problem is the PCB.

If you use EMW, the boards are actually affordable – the “546…….” number is all you need.
