    Hi folks

We have owned the above oven for around 18 months as part of an MFI kitchen package.

Around 3 months ago, the LED above the temperature knob “exploded” and since the oven has not worked.

The LCD display etc still powers up when the oven is switched on, but nothing else wants to function.

If the oven is powered up, and the oven function selected, when selecting the required temperature there is a loud bang and a flash from the blown LED.

I cant find a wiring diagram anywhere to trace a short which I can only assume this is.

Its not wired via 13amp socket, but via a 45amp (i think) cooker switch.

Are wiring diagrams available for these at all or has anyone else came across a similar problem?

Was it easy (cheap!) to fix or am I as well biting the bullet and getting a new oven?

if there a loud bang somthing is arking if u take the top of i don,t think it will be hard to see , and most likely to be the neon neon wire or thermostat , take a couple of clear pictures before u pull any wires of and make sure its isolated . if the neon is in bits my guess would be thats your problem, you will probally see black burn marks somewhere

Yeah the neon was toasted the first time it blew

You think replacing the lamp and cover will be enough to solve the problem?

As a temporary measure, disconnect it completely and see if you get function.

If you contact spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with your model info, they should be able to source a suitable replacement for you.

Make a note of where the wiring fits – we won’t be able to help you if you don’t.
