diplomat, top oven and grill not working but the fan is?

Hi
i have a diplomat double oven ,
the bottom oven is fine, but both the top oven and grill have stopped working at the same time, even though the fan still comes on?

iv looked at the element of the grill and their are no breaks.

I had to replace the bottom element last year and that’s working perfectly.

can any 1 help please?

You didn’t provide us with the all important model number but in the absence of that vital info have you checked the thermal trip?

and what is a thermal trip?
and how hard is it to check and replace?

Hi iv just go the part that you suggested but I think it’s the wrong part!

Iv open the top and this is the pic of the top of the oven.

You’ve taken a photo of the selector switch and oven thermostat. The part we refer to is fitted on the oven carcass. Take another look elsewhere to find it.

I located where is?

I switched around the bottom trip with the top trip, as I know that the bottom oven works and I want to see if top oven would work with the bottom trip in!

Unfortunately the top oven and grill are still not working and the bottom oven works!

So it’s not the trips, so have you got an more ideas please?

Yes, get someone whom knows what they are doing in to look at it, as your clearly out of your depth on this particular item.

Yes

Get someone in whom knows what they are doing.

Safety is the primary thing here. Swapping parts around you don’t know about, know if they are compatible or not, especially safety devices is NOT safe.

Thank for your input! but swooping 2 fuse around that are identical is not particular hard! And for safety go’s I may not be a white goods engineer, but I’m quite confident in my own abilities!

I have no doubt you have the former but from your posts I seriously suspect you lack the latter.
