Diplomat washer dryer

Hi all,

We live in rented accomodation and have a somewhat troublesome landlord so are looking to fix this ourselves. The washer dryer runs, although the drum does not move very much, it tries to edge its way around a little (2-3cm) at a time. The drum fills and empties and there are no strange noises.

In addition, the dryer does not heat the clothes at all and they subsequently do not dry.

Finally, when we set a program, sometimes it does absolutely nothing, and we have to turn it off, change the program, turn it on again and generally play around with it to get it going.

Any help appreciated, especially with the first problem.

Diplomat machines are made by at least 4 different manufacturers (“Badging”), so we’ll need the model number to get anywhere with this. Check – inside door, around drum opening, console panel, lower kick plate (Behind the skirting board), or even, if you’re very lucky, the user book. You’re looking for something like “ADP—-” and preferably a serial number as well.
