Diplomat Washer Dryer Model 8702 – Code IPX4, Made in Italy

Hi

This machine isn’t spinning and there is a burning rubber smell when it is used. Does this sound like it is economically repairable or do we cut our losses and buy a new one? It is about 4/5 years old.

Any pointers on who would repair it in the Glasgow area? Is this a Hygena model?

What area are you in of Glasgow, as in postcode as that’s my patch!

Likely things given the age are bearings, but it would be noisy as well and the module due to the no spin but I’d have to get one of the lads to look at it to be sure. Cost wise, if it’s the module or another simple fault it should be worth it as it is indeed an integrated Hygena machine from MFI but it would cost £500+ to replace.
