ParticipantWe got one of these in which the customer said would dry the clothes on dryer mode.
Having function tetsed the appliance sure enough the dryer wil not operate at all, no supply to the fan motor, heater elements or stats ?
We have tested all of the components in the heater/dryer circuit and thought that either the dryer timer or main timer was faulty. have swapped out both parts and still no supply to the dryer/heater circuit.
It was at this time we noticed that the machine would do a spin in the dryer cycle so we decided to test the wash actions. They all seem ok.
The control module fitted to this machine is a Elmarc H7.9 ( yellow Label )
and from past experiences with these they have trwon up some strange problems which dissapear onc ethe module is changed. The module is a 1200 spin variant and we had a 1000 spin variant lying around which we hook on to see. The dryer porblem is still there ?
Anyone had this before and does anyone know if the Instruction Set on the Eprom are the same for both modules except for the spin speeds ?
This one has got us puzzled and afther changing the Dryer Timer,Main Timer and hooking on the 100o Module we have ordered a 1200 module to try out.
Nothing like the scatter gun treatment I say, but seriously anyone have a fresh view of this ?
Thanks
😀

Is this the same type of integrated w/d as CDA produce? Has 3 recessed knobs and 4 buttons?
If so, one of the buttons doubles as the drier activator (remember the old Servis and Whirlpool machines? The 1/2 load button had to be pressed in to switch on the drier? 😉 ). Set the machine to dry and press each of the buttons in turn.
Worth a look!!Steve.

Yeap Its the same machine like the old whirlpool series, in this case that button is not the problem.
I was already aware at the outset of this and have even tested that switch to no avail.
But thanks, tow heads are better than one ! 🙂

Well finally got the bottom of this mystery today having finally got the chance to sit down with it.
It transpires that the Dryer Fan motor is the culprit and will be changed tomorow. These models run for a period of time before the Fan Motor and Dryer Heater circuit kick in. The fault was not appaearent as we expected it to start as soon as the dryer mode was selected and we were not leaving it long enough.
Guess in future I will just sit and have a brew while the thing waits to spring into action! 😀
