    hello,
    we bought a diplomat apm 8552 washing machine from mfi 18 months ago since then we have had an ongoing problem with the internal water feed hose (i think thats what its called)the part i’m trying to describe is shaped like a letter Y COLD & HOT inlets narrowing into one, the problem is this part has burst no less than 5 times flooding our kitchen each time, mfi have been less than helpful concerning this problem , can anybody help us in preventing this from happening again we tried turning the water pressure down but this has had no effect, we also need help finding yet another replacement part possibly one thats stronger than the ones we’ve had in the past…

    Common failure I’m afraid and there is no alternative bar the part that you’ve already had.

    Yeah i know first hand how common it is 🙂 thank you very much for that link, i think i’ll buy a few one wont last very long. 🙂

    If its such a common failure why haven’t diplomat done something about it?…maybe their making to much money from the spares that are selling…

    Actually there is an alternative….it’s a mod that we’ve fitted to several with burst pipes. The modified part has a rigid plastic ‘y’ piece (rather that the moulded rubber original) and rubber hoses held on with metal spring clips.

    We haven’t got any left unfortunately so MFI may be your only hope 😕

    i dont suppose you have a part number for this alternative part, would make it easier when ordering from mfi 🙂 🙂

    IIRC there isn’t an alternative number, you’ll have to ask for the ‘modded’ part 😕

    Try 720617200 which is listed as the kit including the Y piece alternatively the following is also listed 720516800
