Diplomat (Whirlpool) ADP8332 Dishwasher 11 flashes

This dishwasher starts OK, pumps out for 20 secs, starts to fill then shows an error FA in the display, bleeps, and the start light flashes 11 times. The whitegoods error code book says it’s the Optical Water Sensor. Can anyone help me as to what to look for? The black grid in the sump is clear. Thanks

Opticle water sensor is fixed to the metering tank, used to be a full tank to repair but Connect are doing just the sensor, their number, 5045174626675 but out of stock £18 ish.
If I was you mate then I would check the connecting plug to the sensor first maybe give it a little “nip” :eeek: to tighten it up

Thanks for the reply. Since my post I went and replaced the diaphram switch, and it seems to be working (no error code), except now the askoll type wash pump is noisy and knacked. I will go back to fit a new pump, and do what you suggested. Thanks again
