ParticipantHi,
I also have a Dipolmat electric grill/oven and the oven part has packed up. The grill still works, but that’s it. I had actually noticed about a month ago that sometimes the fan in the oven didn’t work. Anyway now the fan doesn’t work at all and the oven no longer heats up.
The details are:
Model – ADP3101
Type – B11
Oven – 2,150Kw MAX
Serial No – 5860271000I live in London SW18.
Can someone please recommend who I can call to get this fixed (and how much I should expect to pay)? Also from the other posts on this forum it would appear I need the fan element, is it best to order this first then call a repair guy? Or is it simple to put in myself?
Regards,

If the fan isn’t running it won’t just be the element, it may be the fan motor and the element or just the fan motor.
Have you checked the timer isn’t on automatic as that would stop the whole oven from working ?

The timer is only a very basic type. It doesn’t have an automatic, as far as I can see. The grill still works when we want.
Doesn’t sound like its going to be cheap!

If both were gone I guess you’d be looking around the £100 mark (ish).
Probably worth a look I think as it could cost up to three times that to replace.

Thanks a lot. Any suggestion of who I should contact for the SW18 area of london?
Should I ordewr the parts now? If it is only one bit can I return the other bit? Also where can I get them from?

I wouldn’t order anything until a correct diagnosis has been made, I’ll check this evening for a SW18 contact for you, I have some names at home, unless someone else knows in the meantime ?
I can get the parts should the engineer have trouble himself, although most of these sorts of parts are readily available.

Some of these ovens with the basic timer do have a manual setting, little symbol of a hand. Try turning the timer on, if it now works, look for the symbol and turn it to there.
Gotta be worth a try.DP
