This is the Wpl one – fitted new circ pump yesterday, put it all back together and it came up F1. Metered NTC from both ends – 57k at ambient. Cleaned contacts and edge of pcb – still 57k. Wrapped a warm flipper around it, resistance duly starts to fall……… Still F1. Fetched new NTC – 57k at ambient. Fitted it and the damn thing worked. Puzzled as to what went on here – any ideas?
I had a similar problem on one of these NTC’s it turned out to be water in the NTC, fitted new one, problem sorted. Did you manage to get it wet when fitting the pump? easily done. 😉
Was it perchance one of the older type ntc’s?
Had loads of these giving this problem. Got to the stage I stopped testing them and just changed them. Not so bad with the newer ones.
