Booked a call for a hotpoint Dishwasher,Said salt has become solid in salt container in machine.Also programme faults.
I said you might have put detergent in machine.Assured me she had not. Has now rang me to say she has.Packets looked the same.
Whats the cure, I was going to tell customer to remove salt cap and put on hot wash.

Presume you mean table salt,would replace complete softener unit myself,may have got through into resin,will be in solenoid also,too many complications perhaps.

Almost best part of impossible to clear the detergent from the salt reservoir. It sets like concrete and you need a cold chisel to break it up almost, its that bad.
Only true resolve is new water softener unit…………… 🙁
