ParticipantIt’s been just over a month now that iv had my new Hotpoint Dishwasher, and as i live in a very hard water area i want to keep the limescale deposits down to a minimum, there is a product called Limescale and detergent remover made by Indesit and is used/recommended by the Indesit and hotpoint engineers.
Its a lot cheaper than the supermarket products – does anyone know of this product. I aim to use it once a month as a preventative.
Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

Really no need to IMO..the area i cover has water as hard as nails which presents no problem at all as long as you always refill the salt reservoir as soon as required. The softener unit is an ion exchange type which will soften the water to the highest standard.
Do use the best quality salt (Finish) and detergent, be pretty thorough about scraping food deposits from the crockery before putting it in the dishwasher (if particularly greasy run for a second or two under a hot tap first) and you should get a sparkling result. Do that and maybe run a descaler/degreaser once a year for peace of mind…

Thanks for that, what area to you cover?
I actually live on the Bucks border, nr aylesbury. (Hp17) The Water hardness Level from Thames Water indicates i should have the water softner set to the default level which is up to Hard Water.

So would you agree the dh level is around 16.5? it’s just within the default level of my water softener but at the high end.
Cheers.
