Dishwasher – Cleaning Chemical Recommedation

Hi,

Asking the community to recommend good products designed to clean the dishwasher itself (descale , ‘degunk’) etc.

I want to learn how to properly maintain our stainless steel dishwasher.

I understand while some products kill bacteria/mould, they do not descale. Other descale but don’t deal with odours and smells.

I am asking for a number of options, and some advice on a good maintainence approach for stainless steel dishwashers in general.

So long as you use a hot wash most of the time with a decent detergent you are unlikley to have any problems.

Keeping filters clear and wiping down the seals is of course required but that’s just occasional maintenance.

Other than that you shouldnt’ have to do anything and, unless it’s a poor quality machine, the steel tank will last way longer than anything else in the machine.
