Dishwasher enquiry

😕 I have a dishwasher that needs plumbing in but the closest I can get it to the waste outlet is about 12 feet away. I want to know whether it would still be able to pump out the water from that distance, or would it be too far, as really it’s the only place the dishwasher can be sited in my kitchen. The model is a Siemens slimline SR23/53. Any advice you could give would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi Kaz,

Sorry looks as if we all missed this one. 😳

Basically that’s too far for the pump to deal with, it can’t push against the volume of water in the pipe and so it’s a “no” I’m afraid. Ideally the standpipe should be adjacent to the machine.
