ParticipantHello,
My first post, great site & great advice!!
I need some myself, all help appreciated.
I have a Whirlpool ADG957 integrated dishwasher(5 years old, and never a problem).
About 2 weeks ago, it simply stopped working i.e when it’s closed, there is no sign of life. Hence, there is no flashing light sequence to identify the fault.
I have checked the circuit board and power is reaching it (it is a Dreefs circuit board). Despite power, there is absolutely no sign that the unit works.
Basically, has anyone got any ideas? Should I cut my losses and buy a new one or can it be fixed?
I’m bemused. Please help!!!!

Door switch? Nothing will happen if it thinks the door is open.

Thanks for prompt reply Penguin. much appreciated 😀
Re door switch, everything seems to be in order there.
The lights on the control panel are not illuminating ie to switch cycle, on/off etc even though power is reaching it. Hence, no fault identification.
Basically, power to control panel ok (I tested this)- no lights illuminating (lights would have illuminated when door open previously eg to set wash)-
when press “on” switch and close door, no response i.e. water not entering machine, no sound of pump etc.Maybe it’s cut losses time????

Sounds very much like the pcb has let go then, they are around the £100 mark but some can be repaired for significantly less depending on the nature of the fault.
I would recommend that the rest of the appliance is tested for earth leakages though as it’s entirely possible that an earth fault has damaged the pcb. At only 5 years old it’d be worth repairing IMO, especially when you compare it to the cost of replacing an integrated unit 😉July 5, 2007 at 9:47 pm #219834PE

Thanks for the help folks.
Think it’s the pcb alright. Was hoping it wouldn’t be!
