ParticipantHi Everybody,
I’m trying to get hold of a dishwasher manual for a Hygena APL 8212 dishwasher. I’ve rang MFI on 08457 959722, but they say they can no longer get hold of them due to the age of the dishwasher.
Anybody got one i can copy or point me in the direction of where to get one from
Cheers

KeymasterHi Ray,
If MFI don’t have one you’re only hope is another owner perhaps having a copy most likely. Was it something specific you wanted to know?

Thanks for reply K,
Having read through the forums I’ve finally got round to repairing the dishwasher after nearly a year and half. Had a leaking door seal, changed door seals and the machine still leaked. Never thought about overfilling till reading of similar problems. Cleaned out gunge and crap from bottom of dishwasher and machine has now run without leaking. It did stick part way through wash cycle but i’ll investigate this when we satrt using it again fully.
Reason for manual was just to familiarise my self with usage, had been using 3in1 tablets and was thinking of going back to seperates (detergent, salt, rinse aid) and wanting to know quantities to use and also frequency of topping up. Also got a problem with a very tight rinse aid cap, can’t get it off (plastic cover/cap on left hand wall of dishwasher).
Cheers

That’s not the rinse aid cap Ray. 😉
The rinse aid cap is the little round one on the soap dispencer, chuck the rinse aid in there and there’s an indicator on it to warn you when it needs filling.
Powder is a case of play with the dosage as it varys with water hardness in the area your in.
Salt is the same, but the dozing is done automagically for you and, on the cap, there should also be an indicator to tell you when to fill it. It’s the one down undereath the filter on that machine IIRC.
The one on the side to which you refer is wher the water comes in from the metering tank, you should never have to touch that.
Hope that clears it up for you.

MFI don’t give out instruction manuals but you can still get one by ringing 0845 795 9722. I think its a phone number owned by MFI but they specifically deal with manuals. They charge you about £8 to order one as well.

Hi! I have an old photocopied manual for this machine – if you would like me to scan it and e-mail it to you I would be happy to do so! E-mail me at bateschrisa@hotmail.com if you want me to.
