Help! I have a Zanussi ZDF 231 that is not emptying it just makes a buzzing noise the goes into fault code 2 flashing neon’s (which manual says sink spigot blocked, hose blocked or twisted)
I have tried all of these and they seem fine.
    I have:
Disconnected the drain hose and slowly emptied tried blowing into the drain hose.
Removed the RH side panel and ran wash cycle all fine but still won’t empty.
Tried plunging with a cloth in the sump under the strainer and could hear a sound like a valve closing and opening! Can any one help.
    😥

But have you checked the drain pump?

Not sure where the drain pump is, the drain hose goes into the plastic drain section but it is right in the centre of the machine do I have to dismantle more to access?

Thanks Martin Have managed to get to drain pump ended up taking off a plastic panel under the front of the machine and tipped on side, actually much easier than first appeared.
Found a pistachio nut shell in impeller Fingers crossed it will work now.
Tools used, Philips screwdriver pliers and a golf ball.

Odd tool to use I must admit but easier on the pump than a lump hammer I’m thinking?
