Hi, have a hoover hed 6612-80 model which over the past few months has
shown a very marked drop in performance, can you help. Salt level is ok have used a rinse aid regularly and ‘Finish’ detergent tablets as directed. The problem is very poor wash performance on all dishes and cutlery ect. All items have a very grainy rough feel to them especially
the glass ware which also has very large white and also grainy rough
patches. The overall performance is very very poor. Does anyone have any
ideas to improve this situation, the machine is only a few years old.

    Regards,

Gritty deposits are always a result of water starvation. Either the spray arm nozzles are clogged, arms are jamming or the circulation pump has a blockage. Or insufficient water is entering the machine? One or other of the above is to blame.

A faulty recirc motor/impeller or cap on it would also cause that Martin but it’s tantamount to the same thing in effect, lack of sufficient pressure to the spray arms.

    Just saying. 😉
