ParticipantHello guys. My dishwasher no longer uses the tablet and therefore does not clean. It seems that the tab hatch no longer opens on itsown. Is this common. what causes it and how can it fix it or get round it. Any help or sugestions would be appreciated. thanks

Now you’re not winding us up here are you? No of course not 😉
OK, assuming the latter, your dispenser doesn’t work and needs replacing. So if you give us the Make and Model number we most likely can assist you further 🙂

Hi Garry,
You could also just put the tablet in the cutlery basket instead and save yourself £40-70 on a dispenser and the hassle of changing it. 😉

Model number will be engraved in the top edge of the stainless steel door on machines up to ten years old, before that, it was on a label on the cabinet edge, just below the lid.

thamnks again, having read about other peoples problems i think it might be a lack of water pressure. I live in an old farm house with no mains supplier, the water is piped from an underground river. its the hardest in the cuntry (apparently) measureing 9 on the ec meter. But this confuses me, as i,v read that the washer uses and recycles a pool of water from under the cabnit. then why does the preasure from the sprinkler arm jets rely upon mains preasure surly this would be an internal pump. Having said this i have read posts from others who cannot have a dish washer due to lack of preasure. I (perhaps dangerously) pushed the door catch in making the washer think it was shut and watched a snippet of the wash. The bottom sprinlker arm spayed about 7 or 8 inches high, is this enough and the top just dribbled out. could this be preasue or broken pump.how can i test the preasue. can should it be feed by hot or cold. so many questions i know. Heeeeeeeeelp!!!! please

How can we help you when you won’t tell us the MODEL NUMBER?
