ParticipantHi
Thanks to the great advice & help I’ve received on this forum, my not so trusty Tricity Bendix DH101 Dishwasher has lasted about 3 or 4 more years than I ever thought it would do.
Over those last 3 or 4 years I have replaced:
The IWMS,
The Basket Wheels
The Lower Rotor arm
The water inlet Valve & maybe a few more odds & ends for it. :violent:However today it has decided not to pump the waste water out any more.
Which although I’m sure is a simpleish fix, I reckon, it’s not worth fannying around with it anymore. :bang:
So I read the purchasing advice section, :study: & am not going to ask you to advise me on a £200 machine that is reliable as I have learnt from here that those 2 phrases don’t belong in the same sentence.
I would ask though if someone could attempt to recommend a £400 machine, £500 absolutely top top top end.
Something that once the warranty runs out, will be easy for me to maintain & get parts for using the great help topics & online store belonging to this forum. Many Thanks :salute:

THE BSH machines are some of the best in that price range, Bosch, Neff, Siemens machines.
If Don sees this in the morning he may be able to give you some specific model numbers so that you can compare various models.

I thought I read in 1 of the threads that I searched through that Bosch have made the servicing very hard to do by us punters?

How true, how very true!
But then if you want to buy a dishwasher that needs taking apart and fixing it’s best not to buy a Bosch. At the opposite end of the ladder you could buy something that regularly fails and needs a bit of fixing like a Kenwood or perhaps an Indesit (for example 😈 )

Hi
I would go with Bosch everytime which we have done at home as well 😉 If you click the freestanding box from this page. You can then compare up to four models.
Bosch produce four product categories. Select the following models which is one from each category for an easy to view compoarison of functions and features SMS40C02GB SMS40A02GB SMS53E22GB SMS69L22GB.
If you are looking for the best advice and service I would visit your local independant retailer. You may pay a few pounds more than on the net but should a problem arise it will get sorted quickly and efficiently.
HTH 🙂
Don
