dishwasher tablets

i have heard a rumour that dishwasher tablets remove the smell and mouldy growth from a washing machine door seal is there any truth to this and if so is one type of tablet better than another

Tried cleaning it with white viniger?

Or another one to try is tooth paste applied with an old toothbush aparerntly this one is good on fridge door seals !!!!!

The smell is bacteria growing inside the machine, not just on the door seal … just get her to try a service wash (155ml bio detergent or 2x tabs of the same + a 90 degree program + an old garment or tea towel in the drum to aid agitation of the water to as much of the machine as poss) and change the seal for her … not necessarily 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} perfect 1st time but will def. help no end … I guess she is using a non bio liquid …
