Dishwasher won’t start

My integrated dishwasher S51t69xgb won’t start. If I select a program and press start, nothing happens. The red light that shines on the floor doesn’t light up and the remaining time doesn’t change. It makes no noises and displays no error message.

Can anyone please give me some advice? Is it something I can sort out by resetting somehow?
I have tried turning it off at the plug, and holding down the start button.

If not, is it going to be a viable repair and is there anyone in the bournemouth area that could fix it for a reasonable cost?

Have you tried the reset procedure? See your user guide for info on how to do that. :rtm:

I tried that (press and hold START for 3 secs then turn off) but it didnt work. I have just fixed it though (the thought of washing up is good motivation!) I found that the whole unit had shifted backwards slightly – deeper into the cabinet which resulted in the door catch not engaging properly. I just had to pull the washer forward slightly, shut the door and it worked.
