    [dishwasher Siemend Electronic aquaStop SE24A234EU/15]

    Hi,

The first sign there was something wrong with my dishwasher was when I opened the door, after the program finished, and saw some foam still fizzing.

After that, the silverware began to show some white stains after washing and the tableware was not dry.

Lately, the machine simply does not stop. In a 2 h program I had to force it to stop after 3.5 h. It was still running water continuously and there was some foam when I opened it. The 35 min program also does not stop. The water-only program of 15 min does stop.

It seems the machine does not heat like before, because I never noticed again the hot steam it used to have when I opened the door.

I read somewhere that it might running continuously because it does not reach some state (temperature?) and that also causes the dishes to get poorly cleaned and not dried.

    Is it something well know?

    Thanks.

    Re: Dishwasher won’t stop

It’s most likely the heating element.

Get yourself a multimeter and google how to test the dishwasher heating element for continutity/ohms.

    Re: Dishwasher won’t stop

Thanks. I ended calling the technician from Bosch/Siemens. He says it’s the controller element.

Maybe it’s not the heating element because if the program does not stop, then it does not reach the heating/drying phase. Since I always have to abort the program, it never dries.

This looks like a poor construction quality. How can a PCB or its elements have a lifetime shorter than the mechanical parts? It was the same with my (also Siemens) refrigerator: it was not freezing enough and it was the controller element.
