Dispenser door for Hotpoint BWM129

We have a Hotpoint BWM129 and need to replace the dispenser door (but not the dispenser itself or the dispenser housing, which I think are sold as separate parts). I’ve been really struggling to find anywhere that sells this door. Any pointers greatly appreciated. Also, if anybody has replaced one of these doors, it would be great to get feedback on how easy it is.

had a look around all i can suggest is you contact hotpoint. its not listed on their site but if you can get a part number you can search elsewhere

as for fitting could not be easier the pin the draw hinges on comes out form the top. the hardest part is taking the machine out to remove the lid

they dont seel it seperately, it comesa as a part of the fascia.. total rip off, cos u can still just change it

helo_77, I found this (http://www.espares.co.uk/part/washing-m … e-con.html), which is the control panel with dispenser door. Looks like a bit of a scam, if you have to buy a whole new control panel just to replace the dispenser door. Have you replaced one of these before? I can see two very accessible screws on the left hand side of the panel, but not sure whethere there is anything holding it in on the right. I’m a bit apprehensive about doing it myself, if it involves any re-wiring or disconnecting electrical components, but otherwise, it looks straightforward.

Part a bit cheaper here and more in line but it’s still a rip off IMO and Helo is totally correct, the detergent drawer handle only comes with the control panel.

Thanks for that kwatt – saved me a few quid, although as you point out, still outrageous that the door cannot be bought without the panel.

Have you taken one of these panels of before? It looks as though you just pull the knobs off, remove the two screws by the dispenser, and then the panel prises off, but be useful to know if I’m missing anything here.

quite involved, all the selectors are a push fit onto the bezel, which is also screwed on to the soap box

experince would suggest, if ur ok with it, just pull the pin out and change the drawer front, something else normally breaks for sure!
