Dispenser not emptying

Hi there,

I have inherited an oldish (8 years) Whirlpool dishwasher and it’s not working well. If put tablets in the dispenser but when I open at the end of the cycle the dispenser is open but the tablet is still inside. I tried switching to tablets that don’t have the dissolving wrapper, but the same thing happens. My landlord refuses to fix the machine and I am really hoping that it’s not dead!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Unfortunately I can’t see the model number on it and the landlord has lost the manual.

Dispenser not emptying

I take it the machine goes through a full cycle? Can you hear water being sprayed about inside?
