Do I need a Control Module or an Operating Module

I have a Siemens double oven ( HB55MB551B/45) which has gone ‘berserk’.

The clock/display started showing random patterns and the buttons below it would not do anything useful other than make some beeps.

Fortunately the oven continued to work – I could select the mode and temperature. This went on for a week or so till the clock display stopped dancing about and the oven died. The mode and temperature knobs do nothing.

The top small oven continues to work.

I would like to order the appropriate replacement part but I cannot get anyone to tell me whether to order the Control Module or the Operating module.

I hunted everywhere but can’t find any description of the functionality of these two modules.

Can anyone help please?
