Evening
Me and the better half have a Gorenje WA 72415 that we have had for a while now and its been a solid machine but ive noticed over the past few washes a couple of things with it
It sounded a bit noisy on spin – not to the point where you cant be near it but it seemed a bit noiser – I grabbed a video of my spinning the drum by hand with and without a load, does it sound like the bearings are starting to fail? – https://youtu.be/j_JICUVJ3Qs
I also noticed that the drum seems to have more movement on spin then ive seen before, The drum itself doesnt feel loose on the spider, it is always allowed to air out and it does at least one boil cycle a week so i suspect the spider is fine. I am thinking it is more the shock absorbers could be wearing out – is it possible for shock absorbers to wear out the same way they do in a car? If so is 8-9 years a good life for shocks in a washing machine? (My better half has a habit of overloading it so I think they have had a hard life)
Would I be right in assuming that if im going to this effort its worth throwing a new belt on the machine as well?
Sorry for all the questions – its just been a good machine and I like things to last so if I can get a few more years out of it then I may as well
