Just delivered a freezer this morning to some old lass, when looking at said freezer I noticed a few feet away a small metal cabinet about 3,1/2 ft high with a small square door,” Whats that ?” says a curious me. ”It’s me tumbler dryer”, says old lass, turns out to be a Parnell from the early to mid fifties according to the customer, ”it still works ya know, but I doesn’t work it much!”. All finished in a tough white enamel, don’t make ’em like that anymore!!

Put a vee belt on one of those in the summer – had to go to the local motor factors to get one (Vauxhall, I think it was). Old boy was as pleased as punch!

That would be a Parnell TD55 I Think! When I first started for TIDAS (Creda) this model was obsolete even then, But I Have come across 2 of them in the last couple of years, Still working,And in regular use .
Did it have a red plastic handle on the door?
