Doesn’t Fill… H/point WMD960 Fitted EMW Part But Diff Prob

Hi,

Original problem no fill – valves checked out fine so suspected board.

Got board from EMW and fitted – machine filled ok but solenoid door lock would not unlock (no prob with original board re this).

Sent board back and when returned door now locked/unlocked ok and filled ok.

Left machine for customer to use but was contacted the following day to say that after about 15 mins mach stopped working and F1 eventually showed in window and door unlocked.

Returned to machine and observed that during spin also the machine will not spin but slow rotates in one direction – slowing down and then speeding up (slow rotation only though).

When I pause the machine full of water the door unlocks.

I fitted the original board and the problem still same – no fill (incidentally this was initially intermittent – more not working than working).

I have done all the usual squeeze edge connectors together etc.

This all occured before I went on a 5 day long weekend and just got back tonight and discover I have another WMD960 to look at tomorrow with the same no fill problem 😥

What is F1?

Is there any particular problems that are thrown up on this board or am I just unlucky to get a faulty recon board.

Ive had a few of these f1, no fill, door locking, not unlocking. Ive always done a revert back to hotpoint using the 5 years parts cover.

(Do check the motor, tacho & motor wiring as I did get lucky with one of the machines with a bad connector on the motor.)

…. just from memory i had one not unlocking and coming up with F1 and it turned out to be the motor brushes were sticking in the holder…. worth a check maybe? 😐

The main problem is no fill which was solved with the recon module but it introduced other problems.

The motor is of the brushless variety – induction motor.

the problem lies with the fact that there are NINE versions of that machines, with very different pcbs and software variations, motor stacks and tubs

and it does matter

it actually sounds more like a software issue, if the pcb is the correct part, a reflash ( with the right variation of software dependent on commercial code via smartcard) or if your like me, u can download it off indesits website and flash it properly with my laptop

as with all current indeshit stuff, full industrial code and serial number is very important in identifying the correct parts

and theyre all changing again, VERY soon

That begs a question for me…

What is the way forward for me, re these programable machines in general?

Is it worth getting a reader from Connect – what equipment is needed to properly work on these pcb’s and where do I get the prog info?

Is there any info on the UKW site.

Insights would be helpful – thanks.
