Or perhaps information might not have been relayed in realtime in line with your obviously overly high expectations.

Have you done the obvious as kwatt said and called the agent?

Re: Domestic Appliance Horror Stories2 ?

As previously stated I have re-adjusted my expectations so they are in line with the current standards of the washing machine industry and fyi I have called the agent regularly (kinda hoped ISE who use the engineer and know him better than I do, would do that)

    the latest on this:

    1. email sent to ISE requesting update – no reply recvd
    2. Rang ISE and spoke to a lady who said she would contact local agent and come back to me – no call back recvd
    3. I called local agent who advised that he is still awaiting delivery of the part (this part should have been delivered yesterday ?)
    4. Rang ISE to check on delivery status of this part. advised they will check with their spares dept and ring me back.

Let me stop you there….because you’re obviously attempting to take advantage of a company that is more than willing to be ‘up front’ with its product and has shown on more than several occasions that your problem is being dealt with as swiftly as possible. Yet your remit seems, to the casual observer at least, a blatant attempt, wrongly in many ways I might add, to smear the good name of ISE and all that it stands for.

Your problem will be resolved and, chances are, as quickly as humanly possible. Therefore can I suggest you refrain from ‘blow by blow’ accounts. It’s pretty boring stuff I have to say, and at some given point in time you have to hold back and realise the world doesn’t revolve around you but rathermore you have to instile within yourself a little ‘give and take’.

By the way, in case you’re wondering, whilst a long standing trade member on this web site, I have no connection with ISE, it’s products or it’s management whatsoever.

    Chill out man! 8)

LOL. Gawd forbid I would dare to take advantage of ISE, lest you forget that I am the one who is still waiting for ISE to manage what looks like the near impossible task to try to ship a part from A to B intact. I have tried to play by their bizaare rules and guess what, that doesn’t even work. they told me to ring to the local agent, i have done that. I have called ISE today and guess what, told they would ring me back, they never did. All the while i am still without a working washing machine for over two months. so spare me the “give and take” tale because by any standard you care to measure the quality of service provided by ISE is POOR. But do clue me in on what ISE does stand for ???

I take it you’ve never had any other electrical item that’s failed? Speaking from experience, if you’d bought a machine – many more expensive – off any other manufacturer, you certainly would have had nowhere near this level of service

    Hotpoint – 2 weeks
    Bosch – 2 weeks
LG – up to 9 months

plus with all of them you’d have been speaking to someone in a call centre with no idea who you are. I think you’re making yourself look ridiculous with wanting taxis sent to you with parts.

Maybe next time you should buy a Indesit. I heard they respond to any call within 3 minutes, have a fleet of fighter jets to deliver parts, PLUS if anything goes wrong they’ll send an engineer to do your ironing for an entire year!

At the risk of rising to your baited question….a concept, ultimately, you realised and invested in. A product supplied by a company that will strive to do their utmost to satisfy an ever demanding public. A company and organisation that will strive their utmost for you. So can I ask you cut a little slack on the attention seeking and allow them to resolve your problem without further outbusts?

Tip: You are not doing yourself many favours here by the way…after all the best way to ask for help is to smile and say please…shouting and bawling holds little credence for others that may otherwise go out of their way to help. Try that at a Tesco checkout sometime and you’ll maybe catch my drift here?

Re: Domestic Appliance Horror Stories2 ?

oh silly me i get it now. ISE isn’t that bad because the others are really BAD!!! OMG what a damning indictment of the industry. Instead of worrying about the others why don’t you raise your own game a bit ? The yard stick you are measuring your own performance against is how lousy the opposition is.

Anyway I just recvd a call from ISE to advise that part has been delivered to the local agent and hopefully it will be intact and we can get closer to a resolution.

I am not seeking attention here. Positive feedback is easy to post on a website and when ISE delivered this machine I sent them an email praising them on the service they provided. I still have that email and can post it here if required. ISE shouldn’t be afraid of negative feedback. on the contrary they should accept it and try to learn from it.

recvd update from local agent – part was not delivered as previously stated(incorrect info from courier or ISE). part was shipped on the morning of 21st april (though i was led to believe that part would have been delivered earlier). has not arrived today. local agent advised that delivery is unlikely today. possible it may arrive tomorrow. email sent to ISE but might not be picked up until next tuesday.

The reply that apparently wasn’t sent from reading the comments:

    Hi ********,

I entered the tracking number for the parcel onto the DHL site the parcel left their Lichfield depot at 8:44am on the 21st but then for some unknow reason as it doesn’t say on their system it returned back to Lichfiled at 13:22 on the same day. Unfortunately with it being the holidays i can’t find out anything else until Tuesday.

    Kind Regards

ISE staff have updated you at every point they could and have the information to do so. If they do not have the information or cannot get the information as was explained above, they cannot magic up an answer for you.

You will also please note I hope that this was done, as are some of the replies here, on a public holiday when many of the staff are not even supposed to be working let alone trying to help you. Added to which, this was sent outside normal working hours on a public holiday. Just as today is a public holiday and you are again receiving a response.

Then you come on here and try to tell the world that ISE isn’t providing a service and isn’t trying to help you. And you state above that you don’t know that it could be the “courier or ISE” when you know full well where the delivery failed and have received an explanation of it.

You were also told, per the email, that there was nothing that could be done until tomorrow due to the couriers and most others being closed until Tuesday and then make out that this is a week on Tuesday, which is not the case.

    K.

Re: Domestic Appliance Horror Stories2 ?

All of last week I was pleading with ISE to get my machine fixed before the bank holiday and the part required was not sent out until last thursday. Of course it was never going to reach the local agent until this week, the earliest would have been today. So tell me, what extra did ISE do, knowing the above, to help ? Am still without a functioning washing machine. To put it into perspective, since 20th Feb, my washing machine has only worked 4 times.

Just advised by ISE that latest part is damaged. There is a surprise!!! Honestly lost count of the number of times this has happened. How many is that now ??? I realise the cost of the part is minimal and costs of courier is reclaimed by ISE. But where does this leave me the customer ?

Re: Domestic Appliance Horror Stories2 ?

Actually your statement is untrue. The part was sent out three times last week due to damage, not just on Thursday.

Had the part arrived undamaged the first or second time at least, the machine would have been sorted before the weekend. Sadly it was damaged and that wasn’t possible.

ISE have to get the part delivered undamaged.

The MD apparently offered to get one down to the engineer but that would not have been until at least some point next week due to holidays and other commitments so courier is the only option for speed.

I realise that’s causing a bit of inconvenience but it is about all that they can do and it is being done as quickly as possible as you have been informed.

Re: Domestic Appliance Horror Stories2 ?

If ISE had followed my suggestion (early last week) to send the part via taxi then this problem would have been resolved. Can ISE at least offer a commitment to have my machine fixed before this upcoming bank holiday or will it be the case of another wasted 4 days……….all the while I still have a broken washing machine……. + 2 months and counting….. will the part be delivered today ?
