    Good Afternoon All

I have been approached by Domestic & General to possibly carry out repair work on their behalf.

Any problems or concerns that I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Regards

We’ve also been approached by domestic and general, with regards to call out/labour charges, I was wondering if anyone lowers their standard rate or do you charge your normal rate?
    regards

Funny really, they always ask you what you will be charging, then they pay their rate in any case. Usually £43.00 for a standard repair and of course parts at cost + 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

You will have fun filling out their H&S paperwork as well.

    Tell me about it!

Ohhh….do they allow a higher charge for two-man jobs such as range cookers with their feet grouted into the floor tiling? 😆

Yes, extra rate for major repairs, (Tub outs & Regassing) Also another extra rate for electric range cookers, and for gas ranges. They will give you all the figures.

The main disappointment is that they have failed to increase the rate this year, yet my costs have gone up. The consequence of that is, I don’t jump as high as I used to.
