    It has been quiet here lately so I decided to book next week in Portugal and needed to top up the spending money.
    I have been saving old motors and elements lately and took them to the scrap yard and came out with £211..nice.
    I’m only a one man band ticking over so I could see some collecting much more than me over a short time. I even included the coils off drain pumps so don’t leave it with the customer, save it.
    And I have got the waste carriers ticket.

    Hi Rob,
    £211 pound cant be sniffed at! How many motors approx and what weight was the load?

    Hi Bo,
    Around 40 motors (£150) and 2 dog food bags of elements.(£61)
    Motors £500 a ton
    Elements £1800 a ton

    If you know John (Hopwood) you should ask him about this stuff as I think he’s got a deal to get a higher rate on scrap through the work on the WEEE stuff. It’s fresh though so I don’t know much about it.
