Door catch broken and door jammed WJD1257W

I have a Zanussi WJD1257W washer/dryer . I was trying to open the door and the door catch snapped and went slack. I cannot open the door. I have looked internally to see if there is an emergency cord/wire to release the door catch but cannot see one. Assistance to overcome this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Get yourself about 4′ of stout string. Arrange the string around the door, pull the ends across the front of the machine firmly. The loop thus formed will tuck under the door frame and will pull the door latch across for you.
