ParticipantHi!
I recently bought the part “compatible washing machine door lock BS6211” to repair my Bosch WFF2000GB/12.This model has a door release button instead of a door handle. I can’t see how to attach the cable for this (Bowden cable?) to the new part as it is very different from the part I am replacing (pics attached, hopefully!). Can anyone advise?
Thank you!February 8, 2018 at 1:57 pm #453784electrofix

Hi Dave!
The spare was from UK Whitegoods. I think the angles are what makes them look different – I’ve tried again, matching the angle from the site as best I can (this time without the original part for comparison)
,
The metal section on mine is silvery rather than the more golden colour on the listing, but that aside they seem very similar.February 8, 2018 at 2:23 pm #453786electrofix

on the whitegoods picture it shows a small cover. I would look behind this cover to see what is there to connect the cable to
butyou lock does not seem to have this cover

in the course of discussion about the return of BS62111 to order 154077, the price of the latter has shot up from £27.77 to £44.95 😯 think this washing machine’s time may be up

a lot of sites seem to say bs62111 will replace 154077.
possible 154077 is used on some machines with a door handle and therefore it would work but not where its cable operated
part from Bosch direct £41.38 no p&p
