ParticipantThe locking light on my wma 63 will not go off. The machine has finished its spin cycle, displayed end but the door did not unlock. As far as I can tell there is no water left in the machine. Anybody got any Ideas as how to get this fixed?
Its Saturday England are playing footy and I live in the middle of nowhere I need some help to get my washing out.
Cheers

Try a sharp rap on the cabinet next to the door handle – may ping it free. If it does, do not re-use the machine until the lock is replaced.
Can I go back for the second half now?

Hi
Found out when I took Out the washing that there was about a gallon of water left in I have syphoned it out via the normal waste pipe so no blockages. Could this be a one off?
Any other thoughts?

No flashing lights.
I have just run another load of washing and the machine once again did not empty, although it had the END light on. The water I emptied out through the waste tube was very dirty as though it had not been rinsed.
We have had to replace a lifter recently as one came off during a run and shredded a t-shirt, could anything have got in and blocked an outlet or something?

Set it to spin only – you should hear the drain pump running. If it had eaten a teeshirt or other large object, the filter would be full and the water would not drain manually. More likely small object jamming the pump.
Power off if dismantling…..

I have set it to spin only and I can hear the pump, It makes a strange noise and doesn’t totally empty the machine.
Can I get to the pump to see if anything is jamming it.
Can I also check the filter

I can’t tell you blow by blow how to do it. However, if you remove the rear lower panel all will be revealed. 😀
Power off, please.

Hi Penguin45
Thanks so much!
Took it all apart, found a piece of the T-shirt 6″ long in the pump itself and more T-shirt and coins, plastic, blutack, and silver paper in the filter.
Works perfectly now
Cheers 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
