“Door locked” flashing on hotpoint WMA52

Hi, I’ve a hotpoint WMA52 washing machine. A few days ago the spring that holds up the drum snapped and the fuse blew on the plug. I installed a new spring but now I get “door locked” flashing when I try to turn it on. It’s the same for all cycles. I had this problem in the past where the “door locked” led started flashing but with a good push on the door it would work. I then replaced the door interlock but this didn’t fix the fault. The latch (that’s probably the wrong word for it) on the door seams to be okay. Any help would be much appreciated.

99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that the original door interlock has failed and blown the control pcb. 🙁

do you reckon it’s time for a new machine? or is changing the PCB an option.

An expensive option, would depend on the overall condition of the motor/main bearings etc.
