ParticipantI bought my ISE 1606W washing machine May 2009 from UK White Goods.
I have been happy with it.
Yesterday the drainage became blocked. I looked at the filter in front of the drainage pump. I could not move it. I googled a bit and realised that it should be removable. I found a lot of debris around it. (I had washed bath rug that should have just been thrown.) I removed the debris and have since been able to operate the machine. However, the door now does not click open now at the end of the wash, even though the display say “End”. I have to manually use the button on the front to open the machine. (The little red plastic thing near drainage pump opens the door also.)
I would prefer for the door to open at the end of the complete wash.
Is this rectifiable?March 6, 2019 at 10:09 am #460751iadom
ModeratorDo you still have your user manual? I think it is on page #18 that refers to door settings.
Turn OFF the machine using the main power switch.
Press and hold the SUPER RINSE button then switch on.
AdO is shown if set to auto open, AdF is shown if auto open is not activated. Press the SUPER RINSE button to change the setting.
Press the DOOR OPENING button to save the setting.March 6, 2019 at 2:26 pm #460752iadom
ModeratorYes, just checked and those instructions are for W1607 sorry, give a me few minutes and I will see what I can find. I’m guessing you can’t find your instruction manual?

ModeratorFor a W1606.
Automatic door opening
The machine comes with an automatic door
opening function, which means that the door
opens automatically once the programme has
finished.
If you wish to prevent small children or pets
from climbing into the machine, you can deactivate
the automatic door opening function.
1. Turn off the machine using the main power
switch.
2. Press the Door Open button while simultaneously
pressing the main power switch.
Release the buttons.
3. Press the Key button and the red field goes
out. Automatic door opening is now deactivated.
4. Press the Start/Stop button to store the
setting.
If you want to reactivate the function, follow
the instructions above. When you press the
button with the key symbol (point 3), the red
fields light up. Store the setting by pressing
the Start/stop button.March 6, 2019 at 3:24 pm #460754azula
ParticipantWell i came to the right place. After some fiddling around got it to work. I have the manual – well it is just the Operating Instructions booklet but I could find nothing about the door in there except the emergency release pull. I will add this info to the notes section.
A 1000 thanks !March 6, 2019 at 4:26 pm #460755iadom
