Door seal on a WMA 54

I an unable to remove the wire holding the rubber door seal to the front of the machine. The clip holding it in place looks like a small piece of ribbed metal about 3 inches in length . How do you remove this clip?
Its not the spring type or the teeth type.

What do you mean by the toothed type clip, the early wire type with a two piece plastic clip at the top ?

The zipper type clamp has a small metal plate located next to the door hinge, you have to use a small terminal screwdriver to prise one of the hooked ends of the wire out. Refit using long nosed pliers.
