Door seal spring loop replacement trick

I need to replace the door seal on our Indesit WIXL143. I guess its similar to many machines – What is the trick to easily fit the spring loop around the seal?- have tried several ways without success (yet)

4 hands are better than two, remove the door for easier access if needed. two people using one hand to hold spring in place and the other to stretch it working from top to bottom. this is the easy way, if your on your own your going to struggle. a block of wood cut to size to wedge from corner of cabinet to hold spring in place whilst you work around may also work. lots of swearing, sweat and aching hands, good luck.

Took the top off and the missus kept it in place through the top while I fed the spring down and around-only took 5 mins.

Treating her indoors to a curry tonight-it’s a great day even though it’s raining!
