Door will not open on built-in Ariston K-LS61 dishwasher

Hi,

I have a pretty old Ariston K-LS61 dishwasher and the door is stuck shut. From the very old posts (2005) I have found by searching (details below) it appears likely that part of the door locking mechanism has broken. If anyone can help me with question 1 (not breaking it!) then I’m happy to follow suggestions and getting the appropriate spare parts (question 2).

1. To open the door are there any further tips from anyone about where to push the wire to avoid breaking anything else?

2. It looks like I need to know the full model number in order to be able the appropriate spare part. This will have to wait until I can get the unit open, as there is nothing listed down the side of the door that I can currently see.
