We have a Bosch dishwasher that gives error code 24 on about 7 times out of 10 washes. We have tried the supplier but they have no clue and a call out charge that far exceeds the service they give. Dr Google and UTube have been exhausted, we have cleaned the filter well, there’s been no debris to speak of or broken glass fragments. We’ve changed soaps a few times but to no avail and made sure all inlet and outlet pipes are clear, they are.. Has anyone any ideas as to how I can solve this before I give in and buy a new one, which won’t be Bosch!

Thanks, I’m out of the loop a bit these days, retired nearly five years ago. Hopefully one of the trade members with more up to date info will be able to help.:)

Double check the enr- number as its not recognised as a model number

My apologies, sandwiched in between the M & the 5 in about a nanometre’s width is either a 1 or an I.
    So it could read: E-Nr SM153M05ETU/04 or E-Nr SMI53M05ETU/04.

found another Bosch machine where error 24 was a drain fault

I have checked the drainage and there seems to be no problem with a blockage, at least in the pies I can easily examine.

I had a Neff recently (same as Bosch) recently with an intermittent drain problem.
Behind the left side panel is a water chamber (see attached pic). The hose to the outlet pipe and to the drain pump are connected to this, I removed the 2 hoses and sucked through everything with a wet vacuum and it cleared up, so I presume a bit of debris was I there occasionally causing an issue.

    Worth a try.

I’ll certainly give it a go, thanks.
