ParticipantDoes this sound right ? Our engineer says that by replacing the temperature sensors this problem will be fixed. Our Fridge freezer is not checking the temperatures in either fridge or freezer. It does if you reset it (turning off and on) but then forgets to check them. I could be wrong but it seems far more central/PCB related to me but I’d love anyone elses opinion. Samsung can’t/won’t respond.

🙁 u not read these forums yet?
defrost sensors/thermal fuses/evaporator covers are more likely culpritspcb’s are usually reliable
it might help if u read the other samsung posts
just ignore the ridiculous pc fan stuck in with sticky tape thread, thats just silly, and resorted to personal insults via personal messages
hope this helpsApril 5, 2007 at 9:09 am #208213Vogelsimon

Thanks for the sarcasm Helo -nice to know that my fridge isnt the only theme to this forum. I’d read all the threads and it didnt seem to match the problems described. The evaporator cover came off (no ice behind) and the sensors and fuses were replaced and we still have the same problem- except the engineer has damaged the cover so now I’ll probably have to replace that as well as the PCB

Hi Vogel
Press and hold the top two buttons for approx 10 seconds and then tell me what is on the display.
this has to be done after the appliance has been left running for 24 + hours.
The fault wont normally be a PCB fault.

SORRY NOT TO BE QUICKER OFF THE BALL -HOLIDAY TIME. IF I HOLD IN THE TOP 2 BUTTONS (VACATION AND QUICK FREEZE) THEN INITIALLY (3-4 SECS) EVERYTHING FLASHES, AND THEN IT ALL GOES BLANK WITH NOTHING DISPLAYED
