I may as well be blunt and quite to the point….

My, and my familie’s Christmas has been rather marred by the the consequences of the above.

My Daughter’s car was rammed up the @rse end last night and written off while she was driving by some moron who thought it may be a laugh to drive at over 60mph in a 30mph area right next to a speed camera.

Thankfully she’s OK apart from some whiplash and lower back pain but the outcome is/was….

We’ve had to run around all day on Xmas Eve to the hospital and police station.

She’s lost several day’s work as the car is relied on.

We have the police visiting on Xmas day to take a full statement.

    Do I need this sh1te ? …….No !

Sorry to unload here but the consequences could have been a lot worse and have been for many more people in worse scenarios……

On the upside, the other driver was arrested at the scene and is still in custody for a string of offences 🙂

    Enough said 😉

    Dave.

These idiots should be sobered up and used as crash test dummies.

    Re: Drink Driving

Dave hope your daughter is well on the road to recovery.

Personally I think that drink drivers are not punished enough-they are irresponsible and dangerous.

I was in quite a bad crash last year when a woman came out of a junction at 37 mph and smacked into the side of me-causing £1400 worth of damage. The police say if it was a split second later I would have had to be cut out of the car.

Turns out the driver not only was over the limit but had no licence and insurance. They got charged with numerous offences and ended up being banned for 3 years and a suspended sentence.

After the shock wore off I was just grateful not to be injured-as my partner says ” A car can be replaced, a human being cant”.

Now numerous months later-im furious that the driver did not receive a custodial sentence-In my mind anyone who is willing to drink and drive is potentially a killer.

    No, they should get life.

Adam, check the dates on these threads before posting. Dave probably doesn’t need reminding of events from 5 months ago.
