    Hi, I’ve been trying to obtain drum bearings to replace the very noisy ones on Candy GO W475-80 31003587 1521 1926.
    According to Candy/Hoover the whole drum has to be replaced as it’s “welded”.
    Is this the case or do you think that the widely available drum bearing kits would work?

    No, whilst you will see the odd You Tube video of someone trying to repair the bearings in a welded drum, it’s not really feasible. Sadly this has been the case for a large number of appliances available over the past ten years or more. There are one or two machines that still have splittable drums but they are in the minority. In most cases failed bearings mean a new machine.:(

    What a disgrace! Working on cars makes you curse the maker, this is next level. OK where do I sign up to join the fight against this?!
